BNP secures all Lakshmipur constituencies

Candidates of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have unofficially won in all four parliamentary constituencies of Lakshmipur district.

In Lakshmipur-1 (Ramganj), BNP's Shahadat Hossain was elected with 85,457 votes. His nearest rival, 11-party alliance candidate of NCP Mahbub Alam, received 56,437 votes. Around 11pm, Mahbub Alam accepted the result and congratulated the BNP candidate on Facebook.
In Lakshmipur-2 (Raipur and part of Sadar), BNP's Abul Khair Bhuiyan won the seat with 145,913 votes. His closest competitor, Jamaat's SUM Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan, secured 134,042 votes.
In Lakshmipur-3 (Sadar), BNP's Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee was elected with 133,765 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat's Rezaul Karim, received 117,779 votes.
In Lakshmipur-4 (Ramgati and Kamalnagar), BNP's Ashraf Uddin Nizan won with 114,026 votes. His closest rival, Jamaat's Ashrafur Rahman Hafizullah, secured 70,765 votes.
