BNP candidates secure landslide victories in Kishoreganj-6, 4
Election officials confirmed that the results are final, as counting in all centres of the two constituencies has been completed.
BNP candidate Md Shariful Alam won by a massive margin after securing 185,813 votes across all 142 polling centres in the Kishoreganj-6 (Bhairab-Kuliarchar) constituency, according to unofficial results.
His nearest rival, 11-party alliance candidate Maulana Ataullah Amin, contesting with the "Rickshaw" symbol, received 42,555 votes.
Shariful Alam won the seat by a margin of 143,258 votes.
Meanwhile, in Kishoreganj-4 (Itna-Mithamain-Austagram), BNP candidate Advocate Fazlur Rahman emerged victorious with 132,553 votes from all 150 polling centres.
His closest competitor, Jamaat candidate Rokon Reza Sheikh, secured 55,646 votes.
