BNP candidate Asaduzzaman claims victory in Jhenaidah-1

BNP candidate and former attorney general Md Asaduzzaman has claimed victory in the Jhenaidah-1 constituency, stating that he secured 171,598 votes in the 13th parliamentary election.
According to figures he shared on his verified Facebook page, his nearest rival, Matiur Rahman of the Daripalla (scales) symbol, received 55,577 votes.
Asaduzzaman said he is leading by a margin of 116,021 votes.
The results have not yet been independently confirmed by the Election Commission.
