Voting across the country was completed in a peaceful atmosphere and the overall law and order situation remained satisfactory, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin today (12 February).
Nasir Uddin also stated that the Election Commission had succeeded in upholding its commitment to organise a neutral and transparent election.
He made the remarks while speaking at a press briefing at the EC building in Agargaon, Dhaka, around 10pm.
He further noted that no major irregularities or incidents of violence were reported anywhere in the country and that voters were able to exercise their votes without hindrance.
