Wars can be fought 'forever' and very successfully: Trump on US stockpile of weapons
"The United States is stocked, and ready to WIN, BIG!!!" Trump said.
US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States possesses a "virtually unlimited supply" of medium and upper-medium grade munitions, asserting that existing stockpiles are sufficient to sustain prolonged conflicts.
"We have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons. Wars can be fought "forever," and very successfully, using just these supplies (which are better than other countries finest arms!)," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday (3 March).
Trump also said that US munitions stockpiles "have never been higher or better" at those levels, adding that wars could be fought "forever, and very successfully" using current supplies.
"At the highest end, we have a good supply, but are not where we want to be," he wrote, noting that additional high-grade weaponry is stored in outlying countries.
He further criticised his predecessor, Joe Biden, accusing him of sending hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of advanced weapons to Ukraine without adequately replenishing US inventories.
"Sleepy Joe Biden spent all of his time, and our Country's money, GIVING everything to P.T. Barnum (Zelenskyy!) of Ukraine - Hundreds of Billions of Dollars worth - And, while he gave so much of the super high end away (FREE!), he didn't bother to replace it," Trump said.
Trump also said that he had rebuilt the US military during his first term and continued to strengthen it. "The United States is stocked, and ready to WIN, BIG!!!" he added.
His remarks amid the ongoing war with Iran, as the country threatens to disrupt global energy security by closing the Strait of Hormuz, where 20% of the world's daily oil consumption passes through.
