DC Choudhury Muazzam Ahmed formally inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion DC in his speeches urged all professional groups here to enjoy the tournament daily to make it fruitful.
Senior officials of the district administration, district-level officials, DSA officials, invited guests, town elite including journalists attended the inaugural ceremony.
Later, an opening match was held between Sadar Upazila team and Fulchhari Upazila team.
In the match, Sadar Upazila team defeated Fulchhari Upazila team by-1-0 goal.
A total of 8 teams of the district are participating in the tournament, sources said.
