BPL Football: Saif SC beat Mohammedan 1-0

BPL Football: Saif SC beat Mohammedan 1-0

Saif Sporting Club managed a hard-fought 1-0 goal victory over Dhaka Mohammedan SC in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Monday.

After a barren first half, Yeasin Arafat scored the match-winning goal for Saif SC in the 56th minute by a spectacular header, off a free kick of Kyrgz midfielder Asarov (1-0).

After conceding the goal, Mohammedan SC tried their best to level the margin till the last whistle, but failed.

Meanwhile, assistant coach of Mohammedan SC James got a red card for hitching with match referee.

With the day's 2nd consecutive win, Saif Sporting Club topped the league table securing full six points from two matches while Mohammedan SC remained at three points from two matches.

Two matches will be held on Tuesday.

Chittagong Abahani will take on Arambagh KS at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattrogram while Muktijoddha Sangsad KC will face Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj.
