DU holds dialogue with student political organisations

A dialogue was held yesterday (20 November) between Dhaka University (DU) administration and various student political organisations with DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan in the chair.

Pro VC (admin) Professor Dr Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro VC (education) Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Professor Dr Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, among others, were present, said a DU press release today.

In the dialogue, different issues including -- ensuring a good environment of education on the campus, DUCSU election and ensuring the security of female students on the campus, keeping the campus free from outsiders, improving the food quality in the university canteen-cafeteria, solving the accommodation crisis in halls -- were discussed.

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, Biplobi Chhatra Maithri, Ganatantrik Chhatra Council, Bangladesh Student Union, Islami Chhatra Andolan, Chhatra Adhikar Parishad, Swadhin Bangladesh Chhatra Sangsad, Parbottyo Chattogram Chhatra Sangsad, Bangladesh Chhatra Federation and Samajtantrik Chhatra Front (Marxism) took part in the dialogue.
