DU extends Ducsu nomination deadline by one day
Deadline extended to 5:00pm on Tuesday (19 August), and 5:00pm on Wednesday (20 August)
The University of Dhaka (DU) has extended the deadline for aspiring candidates to collect nomination forms for the 2025 Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) election by one day.
The announcement was made this evening (18 August) by Professor Dr Mohammad Jasim Uddin, chief returning officer.
In a statement, the university noted the overwhelming enthusiasm among students for the upcoming election and observed that many were unable to collect forms within the originally scheduled timeframe due to large crowds at various halls and central offices.

To ensure equal opportunity for all students to exercise their democratic rights, the distribution and submission period for nomination papers has been extended to 5:00pm on Tuesday (19 August), and 5:00pm on Wednesday (20 August).
