Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy rainfall with temporary gusty wind at some places in all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (10 September).

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," said the weather bulletin this morning.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 36.3 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat of the Rangpur division while today's minimum temperature of 25.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bandarban of Chattogram division.

Rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded at 21 mm in Dhaka.

The sun sets at 6:0pm today and rises at 5:44 am tomorrow in the capital.
