Prime Bank Foundation awards scholarships to 234 meritorious students

Prime Bank Foundation, the philanthropic wing of Prime Bank PLC, continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of the underprivileged by supporting healthcare and education across the nation. This year, Prime Bank Foundation awarded scholarships to 234 meritorious but unprivileged students under its Education Support Programme.

The 17th Scholarship Awarding Ceremony took place on Saturday, August 31, at Golf Garden, Army Golf Club in Dhaka. 

The event was graced by Mr. Azam J Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank Foundation, as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Rasheda K Chowdhury, Member of the Advisory Committee for the Education Support Programme, as the Special Guest. Also in attendance were distinguished guests including Mr. Tanjil Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank PLC, Mr. Hassan O. Rashid, CEO of Prime Bank PLC, and Maj. Gen. Dr. Md Nayeem Ashfaque Chowdhury (Retd), CEO of Prime Bank Foundation.

Established in 2007, the Education Support Programme is a flagship initiative of Prime Bank Foundation, providing scholarships to academically talented but financially challenged students across 64 districts to support their graduation-level studies. To date, the programme has benefited 4,242 students, with 234 new scholarships awarded this year.

In addition to the scholarship programme, Prime Bank Foundation has established Prime Bank Grammar School, Prime Bank Eye Hospital, and Prime College of Nursing in Dhaka, and is working on developing an international standard school and general hospital.
