Police have recovered the bodies of a wife and daughter and the hanging body of the husband at Balapara village near Manthana Bazar under Gangachara union in Rangpur.

Local people said that Hafizul Islam and his wife Fatema had frequent arguments about him not working for a long time. On Friday night, there was another argument between them, then they went to bed after dinner.

As the door of the house was not opened till 9:30 on Saturday morning, their relatives broke down the door and found Fatema's and their daughter Humaira's bodies lying dead on the bed, and Hafizul's body hanging from the ceiling.
Fatema's family claim that Hafizul's family demanded money from them at different times. They think that is why Hafizul's relatives killed Hafizul, his wife Fatema and their daughter, and fled.
Gangachara Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Taslima Begum, said, "The incident is being investigated. The initial speculation is that the husband killed the wife and daughter."
