Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida) Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Miah on Wednesday said all investment services will be available through their One Stop Service (OSS) by March.

Bida is working to provide the highest level of service to investors, he said while presiding over a meeting on the development progress of the OSS platform as a single point entry for investors in the capital's Agargaon, according to a press release.

Launched in 2019, Bida's OSS portal is a single-window platform for availing investor services in Bangladesh.

Currently, Bida is providing 112 services to investors through its OSS platform. Of these, 97 complete services from 29 departments including Bida and 15 partial services from eight departments are being provided.

Bida Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain instructed the service-providing departments to integrate the remaining 20 services from eight departments and 31 investment services from 12 other departments with the OSS platform by 31 March.

According to the official, neighbouring countries like Vietnam provide all kinds of services to investors within 35 days, Indonesia within 48 days and India within 60 days.

He said simply integrating the services with OSS is not the end of the job, but rather the services have to be provided to the investors in the fastest possible time.

If necessary, the administrative steps in the service delivery process should be reduced and each department and organisation should provide the service in the shortest possible time.

Additionally, the OSS link should be displayed on the websites of the relevant departments in such a way that it is easily visible to investors.
