"37 of the newly infected patients are from Dhaka and 16 from Narayanganj. Among the patients in Dhaka, 5 are from Jatrabari," Dr Flora said.

Among the six dead, five are male and one is female. Two were between 30 to 40 years old, two between 50 to 60, one between 70 to 80 and another one was 90 years old, she added.

"1,184 samples were tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours," Dr Flora further said mentioning that no new patients recovered.

Additional Director General at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Sanya Tahmina Jhora said, "Instructions to fight coronavirus are changing very quickly. Since it's a novel form of the virus, it's still under lots of experiments."

"There is a possibility that what we are telling you to follow today may be different tomorrow after recent developments. Don't think of it as our ignorance," she added urging everyone to have faith in the authority.
