Shabana Azmi injured in car accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Shabana Azmi has been taken to the MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai after her car was involved in an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi suffered injuries after her car was involved in an accident near the Khalapur toll booth on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, reports Loksatta. She has been taken to the MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai for treatment.

The accident took place at around 4pm on Saturday evening, when the car in which she was travelling to Pune rammed into a truck. Shabana's husband and lyricist Javed Akhtar, who was also in the car at the time of the accident, was not hurt.
