4.6kg gold seized on Satkhira border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized gold bars weighing about 4.6kg from Satkhira border today morning.
BGB's Kakadanga BOP's Naik Subedar Oli said, "Two motorcyclist smugglers tried to smuggle the gold to India through the border. But they fled the scene seeing the BGB patrol team. They left behind their motorcycle."
"Later the gold bars were recovered wrapped in a polythene from the spot. The seized gold is worth Tk2.80 crores, the BGB officer added.
No one has been arrested yet in this regard.
