ICT Division of the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications & Information Technology (MoPT&IT), the country's second-largest telecom operator Robi Axiata Limited have agreed to undertake an initiative joint-handedly to create skilled manpower in the IT sector through BDapps.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for five years has been signed in this context on March 4, 2021, at the BCC Conference Room of ICT Tower.

Robi's Chief Operating Officer Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and  ICT Division's Additional Secretary Dr Bikarna Kumar Ghosh signed on the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP; Hon'ble State Minister of ICT Division was present at the occasion.

The State Minister stated, "All our projects are initiated focusing on the youths, ICT and employment. With this agreement, developers will be able to benefit financially by sharing their skills with customers through BDapps. I hope, not only Robi but also users of other operators will join this app to enjoy various innovative applications created by Bangladeshi developers." 

Robi's Chief Operating Officer and CEO Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said, "For developers, BDapps will be established as a hub of the ICT Department through this MoU. This will also facilitate the use of other ICT facilities including Hi-tech parks, digital labs and other amenities to build digital skills."

BDapps will be the first to bring a Wizard-based Android application Development Solution for developers in Bangladesh.
