Fire breaks out at Cosmo School in Mirpur following generator explosion

A fire broke out at a building of Cosmo School in Mirpur today (23 July) after a generator exploded, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The blaze started around 11:30am, confirmed Nazmun, an officer at the Fire Service Control Room.
Two firefighting units from the nearby Pallabi fire station went to the spot and doused the blaze, he added.
The fire originated from a generator on the ground floor. Fire sparked from an electrical short circuit, and all the students were evacuated, said the firefighters.
No casualty was reported in the incident.
