Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque MP has reassured that there will be no shortage of vaccines in the country and urged all the countrymen to take the jab without any hesitation.

"Vaccines will be imported regularly every month. So, there will never be any shortage of vaccines," he said while inaugurating a mural of  Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and a Mujib Corner at Dhaka Dental College on Wednesday. He also laid the foundation stone of an auditorium of the college.

"Vaccines were distributed to each vaccination centre according to the population rate. In some centers, the demand and registration rate were much higher. Therefore some centres saw a shortage of vaccines, but the issue will be settled soon," he said.

But the duration has now been extended to eight weeks. We have taken the decision complying with the direction of the World Health Organization (WHO).
