Buet admission test tomorrow

The admission test of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) for 2019- 2020 academic session will be held on Monday.

The Buet authorities have already completed all the preparation to hold the admission test peacefully, said Prof Mizanur Rahman, director of Students Welfare.

This year almost 12 students will fight for a seat as a total of 12,000 admission seekers have been selected for the test for 1060 seats only. Earlier, 25000 students applied to take part in the exam but the Buet authorities selected 12000 for the final test.

The admission test was uncertain for the protest movement against the killing of a second-year student Abrar Fahad by the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Buet unit.

The protest started on last Monday, a day after the killing.

The protesting students relaxed their movement for two days to let the admission test held peacefully.

Buet VC Prof Saiful Islam also called the admission seekers to sit for the admission test in time without any fear.
