MoU signed between BUET and Xijing University

A Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) was signed between the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Xijing University on 12 May 2025, marking a significant milestone in academic collaboration.
The Mou was signed at the BUET campus at 11 a.m. by Dr Abu Babar Rahman, Acting Vice Chancellor of BUET, and Mr Zhen Liu, Chancellor of Xijing University. This agreement is a testament to the continued cooperation and knowledge exchange between the two institutions, focusing on mutual growth and the development of advanced educational practices in China and Bangladesh.
Key faculty members attended the signing ceremony, including Dr Abdul Habib Chowdhury, Pro Vice Chancellor of BUET, and Dr A.M.M. Mahmudul Hossain, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at BUET. Dr B.G. Tang, Vice Chancellor of Xijing University, led the delegation, along with Dr Zhen Liu, Professor of International Students Affairs at Xijing.
This model establishes a framework for deeper collaboration in research, teaching, and student exchange programs. Both universities aim to foster academic partnerships that will facilitate further development in engineering, technology, and various other disciplines. The agreement will also pave the way for increased engagement in international research projects, offering opportunities for postgraduate students to broaden their academic and professional horizons.
By focusing on long-term collaboration, BUET and Xijing University aim to share their expertise, enhance educational standards, and jointly address emerging challenges in engineering and technology.
