Coke Studio Bangla releases Mothura
Coke Studio Bangla has released "Mothura", the fifth track of its fourth season, a semi-classical composition built around the theme of love that survives even when two people cannot be together.
The song draws on a familiar literary idea: two lives that run alongside one another without ever meeting, much like parallel lines. Its lyrics invoke the enduring stories of Radha and Krishna, Romeo and Juliet, and Layla and Majnun, using them to frame a longing that outlasts the relationships themselves and lingers in memory, poetry and music.
"Mothura" was written and composed by Ankan Kumar Roy, who also performs on the track alongside vocalist Sanzida Mahmood Nandita. The music was arranged by Shuvendu Das Shuvo. The performance centres on the theme of separation and words left unspoken.
The track was released at 7pm last evening on Coke Studio Bangla's official channels and across digital streaming platforms.
