Coke Studio Bangla’s fifth track reflects love across miles

Coke Studio Bangla has unveiled the fifth track of Season 3, "Long Distance Love", a romantic duet exploring the ache of separation in today's hyper-connected world.
The song is performed by rising stars Ankan Kumar and Sheikh Mumtahina Mehzabin Afrin, popularly known as Modernotaku, with composition by acclaimed musician Shuvendu Das Shuvo. Expatriate Bangladeshi singer-songwriter Pragata Naoha, based in Canada, co-wrote the lyrics with Ankan, bringing raw honesty and diasporic depth.
The track contrasts constant virtual connection with the quiet reality of emotional distance. Its verses capture unanswered calls, sleepless nights, and lingering memories, transforming absence into melody. Ankan's tender vocals and Afrin's emotive delivery create a heartfelt portrayal of love that endures across miles.
Shuvendu's composition blends soulful harmonies with lush contemporary arrangements, while his intent was to "weave silence into sound," giving voice to unspoken emotions.
Marking a visual milestone, the music video features Coke Studio Bangla's first-ever black-and-white treatment. Directed by Adnan Al Rajeev and produced by Runout Productions, the video is set in an abandoned gallery where contemporary dancers embody themes of distance, longing, and resilience. Cinematic lighting and choreographed movements heighten the emotional depth.
Ankan Kumar said: "Long Distance Love is more than just a duet — it is where voices and emotions meet. I believe this song will resonate with anyone who has held onto love despite the miles."
Sheikh Mumtahina Mehzabin Afrin added, "Singing this track was like living the emotions it portrays. It is about love that does not break even when distance tries to bend it."
Composer Shuvendu Das Shuvo explained: "Long-distance love is full of unspoken words, and I wanted the music to carry that weight while leaving space for hope."
"Long Distance Love" is now streaming on the official YouTube channel of Coke Studio Bangla and available on Spotify.
