The Duffer brothers have promised a thrilling and emotional conclusion to 'Stranger Things' as its fifth and final season approaches. Speaking at the Lucca Comics & Games convention in Italy, creators Matt and Ross Duffer described the upcoming season as their biggest yet, with expanded action sequences, heightened special effects, and deep emotional weight as the beloved story comes to an end.
After nearly a decade, the Netflix phenomenon that began in 2016 will conclude with three release phases: the first four episodes on 26 November, the next three on 25 December, and the finale on 31 December, which will also screen in select North American cinemas.
Set in the 1980s in Hawkins, Indiana, the Emmy-winning series follows a group of friends battling supernatural forces from the Upside Down. Stars including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and Millie Bobby Brown return, while Gaten Matarazzo reflected on the final shoot as "overwhelming," filled with "tears, giggles, and hugs."
