Stranger Things spinoff is in the works

As 'Stranger Things' prepares to wrap with its fifth and final season, creators Matt and Ross Duffer promise fans a complete conclusion. "This is a complete story. It's done," Matt Duffer told Variety, confirming that all remaining arcs involving Hawkins, the Upside Down, and its monsters will be resolved.
Still, the Duffers are developing a spinoff — one they stress won't follow existing characters or expand the original mythology like 'Star Wars'. Instead, it will capture the show's adventurous, sci-fi spirit in a fresh setting with new faces. "It's like a clean slate," said Matt.
Netflix's chief creative officer Bela Bajaria said she's eager but still in the dark about the concept. Meanwhile, the animated series 'Stranger Things: Tales From '85' is in the works, inspired by classic '80s cartoons, ensuring the 'Stranger Things' legacy continues beyond its finale.
