Biman flight delayed 2 days in Dubai after tire bursts

A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines could not depart from Dubai for two days due to a fauly tire.
The aircraft had landed safely from Dhaka, and all passengers disembarked without issue. However, the problem was detected after the aircraft was parked at the stand—one of its main tires had burst.
According to Biman sources, Flight BG-148, which is a Boeing 787 (registration S2-AJS), was scheduled to depart from Dubai for Dhaka at 2:30am local time on Wednesday night.
However, failing to source a spare wheel locally or from other airlines, the flight could not depart.
This left 220 passengers stranded and caused major disruptions to Biman's flight schedule.
Due to a shortage of available aircraft, Biman could not operate an additional flight from Dhaka. Eventually, the airline arranged accommodation for the passengers at a local hotel and assured them of the earliest possible departure.
ABM Roushan Kabir, general manager of Biman's Public Relations Department, told TBS that a replacement wheel was sent from Dhaka on Thursday. Once installed, the flight was scheduled to depart and reach Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Friday afternoon around 2:30pm.
