Four flights return to Dhaka after diverting to Ctg due to bad weather

Four flights, three domestic and one international, which were compelled to make emergency landings at Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport on Saturday evening due to adverse weather conditions, safely returned to Dhaka once the situation improved.
The airport's Public Relations Officer Engineer Ibrahim Khalil confirmed the matter, explaining that inclement weather forced the diversions.
He stated that the flights, all originally bound for Dhaka, departed for their intended destination as soon as weather conditions permitted and air traffic control granted clearance.
Among the diverted flights was an Air Arabia service from Sharjah, operating an Airbus-321, which was scheduled to land at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport but instead touched down in Chattogram at 4:33pm.
Similarly, an Air Astra flight from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka made an emergency landing in Chattogram at 4:32pm.
A US-Bangla Airlines flight, BS-164, an ATR-76 traveling from Rajshahi to Dhaka, landed in Chattogram at 4:47pm, followed by another US-Bangla flight, BS-188, also an ATR-76, en route from Saidpur, which arrived at 5:15pm.
The Air Arabia flight, identified as flight 514, departed Chattogram at 6:10pm.
The Air Astra service, flight 446, took off at 6:23pm.
US-Bangla's flight BS-164 left at 6:15pm, and flight BS-188 followed at 6:52pm, all safely completing their routes to Dhaka.
This incident marks the second weather-related disruption in recent days.
On Thursday (29 May), Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG147, scheduled to travel from Dhaka to Dubai via Chattogram, was forced to return to Dhaka at 9:44pm due to poor weather.
It later resumed its journey, landing in Chattogram at 4:16am on Friday and departing for Dubai at 5:31am after a slight improvement in conditions.
