Among the newly admitted patients, the highest number, 62, were hospitalised in Barguna. Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital and other hospitals in the district received 15 patients each.

Patuakhali General Hospital admitted 12 patients, while Patuakhali Medical College Hospital received 5. Bhola Hospital admitted 2 patients, Pirojpur Hospital 8, and Jhalakathi Hospital 2.

Of the total patients reported across the six districts of the division since January, 6,199 have recovered. Currently, 333 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals.

Barishal Divisional Health Director Dr Shyamal Krishna Mondal stated that all government hospitals have been instructed to treat dengue patients with the utmost priority.

"Patients are receiving necessary medical services in all hospitals across the division," he said.

Stressing the importance of public awareness in tackling the disease, Dr Shyamal added that preventing the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes is key to controlling the spread.

"Everyone must ensure that water does not accumulate in and around homes, courtyards, drains, and water bodies. Cleanliness must be maintained at all times," he said.
