Community Bank credit cards surpass Tk.150 crore milestone

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC has announced that its credit card portfolio has surpassed 150 crore in outstanding balances, marking a significant milestone in the bank's journey towards financial innovation and customer-focused solutions.

To celebrate the achievement, the bank hosted a commemorative event on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at its Headquarters in Dhaka.

Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank, expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the bank's employees and thanked customers for their continued trust and support. "Reaching this milestone in just four years since launching our Visa credit card speaks volumes about our market positioning and the confidence of our customers," he said.

Mr Saddat reaffirmed Community Bank's commitment to sustainable growth in the cards business and announced the upcoming launch of a diverse suite of innovative card products to cater to evolving customer needs. These include Visa Chip Debit Cards, Visa Signature, Virtual Cards, Co-Branded Cards, MasterCard, and Airport Lounge Access facilities.

"Our goal is to redefine the customer experience by offering smarter, more convenient, and lifestyle-oriented card solutions," he added.

This milestone reflects Community Bank's rapid progress in the retail banking and digital payments space, driven by its focus on innovation, convenience, and security.
