DU postpones Saturday's Science unit admission exam to observe state mourning
DU has postponed its Science Unit undergraduate admission test scheduled for tomorrow (20 December) in observance of a state mourning declared following the death of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson and former DU student Sharif Osman Hadi, honouring his role in the July Uprising.
Dhaka University (DU) has postponed the undergraduate admission test for its Science Unit, originally scheduled for tomorrow (20 December) for the 2025-26 academic year, as the government announced a state mourning tomorrow following the death of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.
The new schedule will be announced soon, according to a press release issued by the university's public relations office today (19 December).
The university declared they would observe the state mourning in honour of former student Sharif Osman Hadi, a brave warrior of the July Uprising. The admission test for the first-year undergraduate programme in the Science Unit has been postponed as a mark of respect to Hadi and all July martyrs and warriors.
