The Honourable Home Affairs Advisor, Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, ndc, psc (retd), presided over the inauguration ceremony. The event was attended by distinguished guests including Md Jasim Uddin Khan, Joint Secretary of the Public Security Division at the Ministry of Home Affairs; Rear Admiral Md Ziaul Haque, Director General of the Bangladesh Coast Guard; Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh; alongside secretaries from various ministries, representatives of the Bangladesh Navy, Naval Police, Forest Department, and senior officials of Mongla Port.

This boat workshop and slipway represent the sole facility within the Coast Guard's West Zone. They are expected to play a pivotal role in the maintenance and repair of vessels operated by the Bangladesh Coast Guard, Bangladesh Navy, Border Guard Bangladesh, Mongla Port Authority, Naval Police, Forest Department, and the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).
