Train communication with Rajshahi resumes after 3 hours after train derailment

Train communication has returned to normal after three hours since a coach of the Banalata Express, which operates between Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi, and Dhaka, derailed near Rajshahi Railway Station.
The derailment occurred around 7am today (5 May) and the coach which was derailed was removed from the rail line around 10am today (5 May) with communication returning to normal.
The nonstop Banalata Express departed from Chapainawabganj for Dhaka at 6am. As the train was approaching Rajshahi Railway Station one of its wheels broke, causing a derailment.
Passengers reported hearing a loud noise near the platform area just before the derailment. Fortunately, no one was injured, and passengers disembarked safely from the affected coach.
Rajshahi Railway Station Manager Shahidul Islam confirmed the derailment and stated that the rail communication was restored around 10am after the damaged coach was removed from the tracks. The Banalata Express started for Dhaka again without the damaged coach which has been sent to the workshop for repairs, he added.
