BCSIR Science and Industrial Technology Fair concludes

The three-day BCSIR Science and Industrial Technology Fair 2025, aimed at promoting scientific and industrial advancements among school-college students and self-taught scientists, has successfully concluded.

The closing ceremony took place today at the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) Dhanmondi campus, where Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology Md. Delwar Hossain attended as the chief guest. He distributed prizes and certificates among the winners of the competition.

In his speech, the chief guest highlighted the fair's role in nurturing future scientists, researchers, and innovators, stating, "This annual event significantly contributes to the creation of new scientists, researchers, and inventors."

BCSIR Chairman Dr. Samina Ahmed, presiding over the event, expressed her admiration for the young scientists. She noted, "More than 75 projects from various schools and colleges across the country participated in this fair, successfully bringing science closer to the general public. The innovative ideas showcased by these young minds were truly inspiring. The enthusiastic participation in the three-group quiz competition was remarkable and further strengthened their interest in science education."

Throughout the three-day fair, held from 24 to 26 February, a total of 68 science projects from various institutions were exhibited, engaging around 250 young scientists. Several organisations under the Ministry of Science and Technology also participated, showcasing their activities to visitors.
