ISU organises freshers reception fall 2024

The Freshers' Reception for Fall 2024 was held at the Mohakhali campus of International Standard University (ISU) on 12th December 2024 under the chairmanship of ISU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan.

The Honourable Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engineer A K M Mosharraf Hussain was present as the chief guest.

Engineer A K M Mosharraf Hussain said that teachers and students should perform their duties and utilise their time wisely to develop students as good people. He added that education is the only alternative for the country's development. So, he urged the young students to fulfil their responsibility towards the government by getting a proper education.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan, said that the student life is the right time to build one's life. One must focus on studies during one's educational journey to make a successful career. ISU is being run with an international standard curriculum. Both teachers and students must work together cooperatively to move the university forward. He expressed hope that, shortly, this university will become one of the top universities in Bangladesh.

Highlighting ISU's proper initiatives to enhance students' proficiency in the English language, the Vice Chancellor also mentioned that the university is committed to creating and maintaining a student-friendly environment through modern classrooms, laboratories, qualified teachers, and theoretical, practical, and co-curricular activities. ISU also provides part-time job opportunities according to students' qualifications and job placements after graduation.

ISU Treasurer Professor H.T.M. Quader Newaz and the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Professor Dr Monjur Morshed Mahmud, were also special guests. IQAC Director Prof. Dr Md. Ekramul Hoque, advisors Prof. Md. Asad Ullah-al-Hussain and Professor Mohammad Nurul Huda were also present. The convener of the Organising Committee, Professor Mohammad Ali, gave a welcome speech at the ceremony. Mr Sk Shoaib Ahmed, Lecturer and Ms Nafisa Tabassum, Language Instructor, Department of English, anchored the ceremony. Among those Chairpersons of the different departments, Teachers, students, and administrative officers also attended the Freshers' Reception. The program ended after an excellent cultural programme organised by the students at ISU campus.
