Another death from Milestone tragedy takes count to 31 as Mahia succumbs to 50% burns

Another child, who suffered critical injuries after a fighter jet crashed into the Diabari campus of Milestone School and College in Uttara, has passed away. The death toll from the horrific tragedy now stands at 31.
Mahia, 15, was undergoing treatment for 50% flame burns with inhalation injury at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
She passed away at 4:30pm today (24 July), confirmed the institute's resident physician, Dr Shawon Bin Rahman.
Mahtab Rahman Bhuiyan, 15, had sustained 85% burn injuries in the massive fire that had followed the crash at the primary section building of the school on 21 July.
Earlier today, he passed away while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the burn institute at 1:52pm.
According to the list released by the government today (24 July), 29 people have died so far (the list includes data received until 11am).
The names of the deceased are:
Tanvir (14), Afnan Faiyaz (14), Mahrin (46), Bappy (9), Masuka (37), AB Samim (14), Shayan Yousuf (14), Arikson (13), Ariyan (13), Nazia (13), Nafi (9), Rojoni Islam, (37), Md. Samiul Karim (9), Mrs Fatema Akter (9), Mehnaz Afarin Humayra, (9), Sariya Akter (13), Nusrat Jahan Anika (10), Sad Salaudddin, (9), Sayma Akter (9), Flight Lt. Md. Towkir Islam (21), Junayet (9), Omayer Nur Ashfiq (11).
According to the latest government data, seven bodies remain unidentified.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) confirmed the identities of five individuals today.
The identified victims are Okiya Ferdous Nidhi, daughter of Faruk Hossain and Salma Akter, Lamia Akhter Sonia, daughter of Babul and Majeda, Afsana Akter Priya, daughter of Abbas Uddin and Minu Akter, Raisa Moni, daughter of Shahabul Sheikh and Mim, and Marium Umme Afia, daughter of Abdul Kadir and Umme Tamima Akter.
