The government has decided to give financial assistance to the families of those who have been killed and injured in an Air Force training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in the city's Uttara.
The decision was taken at the weekly meeting of the Council of Advisers today (11 December) at the Chief Adviser's Office (CAO) with Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus in the chair.
"Family members of 36 people, who were killed in the Millstone tragedy, will get Tk20 lakh each while the injured people will get Tk5 lakh each for one time," Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said while he was briefing media about the cabinet meeting at the Foreign Service Academy this afternoon.
