The AI investment surge is concentrated in a few countries, where private capital has fuelled thousands of start-ups and shaped global innovation hubs, spanning mergers and acquisitions, minority stakes, private funding, and public offerings. Total global private AI investment from 2013 to 2024 stood at $759 billion.
