Business case competition TEXBIZ wraps up at BUTEX
After a six-year hiatus, TEXBIZ—Bangladesh University of Textiles' (BUTEX) flagship inter-university business case competition—made a much-anticipated return with a daylong grand finale on Friday, 30 May 2025.
Organised by the BUTEX Business Club, the competition crowned Case Closed Crew from Islamic University of Technology (IUT) as champion after a competitive final round.
This year's edition drew registrations from over 200 teams representing both public and private universities across the country. Seventeen teams advanced to the semifinals, and six teams reached the grand finale. Team Trailblazers secured the First Runner-Up position, while Team Jhalmuri became Second Runner-Up. One team also received the 'Emerging Team' recognition.
Held at the BUTEX campus, the event began with semifinal rounds in the morning, followed by a poster presentation, article writing segment, and the final round in the afternoon.
In the article writing segment, Roaida Binta Binte Ali from KUET emerged as champion. Team Fusion from BUTEX secured first place in the poster presentation category.
Professor Dr Engr Md Zulhas Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of BUTEX, attended the event as chief guest. The judging panel featured Engr A.S.M Hafizur Rahman Nixon of RH Corporation, SK Mamun Ferdous from Masco Group, Subah Afrin from The City Bank, and Omar Farhan Khan from LightCastle Partners.
