BUP to host Boishakhi Boibhob 2025 in celebration of Bengali heritage

Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) is all set to celebrate the Bengali New Year with Boishakhi Boibhob 2025, a vibrant cultural festival reflecting the colours, sounds, and flavours of traditional Bengal.

Organised by the BUP Cultural Forum (BUPCF), the university's sole cultural club, the annual event aims to revive and showcase the richness of Bengali heritage. Each year, the forum hosts cultural programmes to foster artistic expression and strengthen cultural identity among students.

This year's celebrations will take place on Monday, 14 April 2025 (1st Boishakh 1432) on the BUP campus. Students, faculty members, and guests will experience a range of traditional attractions, from nagordola and bioscope to snake charmers, puppet dances, horse carts, and live alpana painting.

Stalls will offer Bengali delicacies such as pitha, batasha, hawai mithai, and fuchka, while displays of handmade crafts in clay, jute, and cane—alongside glass bangles and floral jewellery—will bring back the feel of a classic Boishakhi mela.

The event will be inaugurated by BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD.

With festive preparations already underway, the BUP campus is abuzz with excitement as students eagerly await the much-loved celebration of culture and community.
