Godzilla vs Kong has stomped past $390 million at the global box office to become the top-grossing Hollywood movie of the pandemic after beating the $365 million earned last fall by fellow Warner Bros.' release Tenet.

The Legendary and Warner Bros. movie added another $7.7 million domestically in its third outing to hit $80.5 million through Sunday. Overseas, it took in $12.2 million for a foreign total of $309.7 million and $390.2 million worldwide.

Godzilla vs Kong's foreign showing is led by China, where it has earned $177 million to date — the best showing of any title in Legendary's MonsterVerse series, not adjusted for inflation. Australia is next up with $19.1 million, followed by Mexico (17.3) and Taiwan ($12.1 million).

Imax has contributed $28.4 million overseas, or a huge 9 percent of the entire foreign tally.
Many parts of Europe are still battling the Covid-19 crisis and are under lockdown. Hollywood is hopeful those markets will be open within the next two months.
