Italian ambassador praises sustainable development of RMG sector

In the last few years, the various steps taken by the government and entrepreneurs for the sustainable development of the readymade garment sector in Bangladesh are getting international recognition from various parties. This time, the praise came from the European country Italy on Sunday.

Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh Enrico Nunziata praised the progress made in the security, sustainable development and social compliance of the garment sector.

During a meeting with Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Faruque Hassan at the BGMEA office in the capital's Gulshan, Enrico Nunziata assured that Italy would continue to support the sustainable development of the garment industry in Bangladesh.

During the meeting, Faruque Hassan thanked the Government of Italy for its continued friendly cooperation in the development of the garment industry in Bangladesh.

BGMEA Vice Presidents Md Shahidullah Azim, Miran Ali and Rakibul Alam Chowdhury along with senior leaders of BGMEA were present on the occasion.
