WEBCO holds children’s art exhibition in Canada
Women Empowerment Bangladeshi Canadian Organisation (WEBCO) organised a children's art exhibition in Scarborough on Sunday (26 July).
Held at Khazana Mithai Restaurant on Kennedy Road, the event gave young participants a platform to display artwork, crafts and LEGO creations, according to a press release.
A themed art competition was also held, with participants divided into three age groups.
Taniza Reza, Founder and President of WEBCO, opened the programme with a welcome address, highlighting the importance of nurturing creativity and self-confidence in children from an early age.
Professional artist Nasreen Sultana judged the competition, evaluating entries on creativity, originality and artistic expression.
Winners were selected separately in each of the three age categories.
All participating children received certificates and gift bags in recognition of their creative efforts.
Children, parents and volunteers attended the event, which sought to promote artistic talent and community engagement among young people.
