Walton rewards two fridge buyers to promote digital campaign
Walton has granted Tk10 lakh each to two more customers who purchased refrigerators during its ongoing 'Walton Digital Campaign Season-24', strengthening the company's flagship marketing initiative.
A press release issued on 20 May 2026 named the winners: Mahmudul Hasan, a businessman from Dakshinkhan, Dhaka, and Afroza Begum from Sheikhpara village, Bagatipara upazila, Natore.
Earlier in the campaign, Suprakash Chakma (Bandarban), Kuddus Hawlader (Bagerhat), and Tahmina Akter (Narsingdi) each won Tk10 lakh for purchasing Walton refrigerators and air conditioners.
At a ceremony on 19 May at Goribe Newaz Walton Plaza, Uttara, Dhaka, a Tk10 lakh cheque was presented to Mahmudul Hasan. Film actor Amin Khan (Walton Fridge Brand Ambassador), actress Bidya Sinha Mim, and Walton Hi-Tech's Senior Executive Director Muhammad Abdullah-Al-Mamun attended the event.
At a separate event at Dayarampur Walton Plaza, Bagatipara upazila, Natore, Walton presented Afroza Begum with her Tk10 lakh cheque.
Key Walton officials attended both ceremonies.
Walton launched 'Digital Campaign Season-24' nationwide on 8 April, ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, featuring the millionaire offer.
Under the campaign, customers' information and product barcodes are digitally recorded in Walton's database after purchasing refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, or BLDC ceiling fans.
Registered customers receive SMS alerts about prizes, including Tk10 lakh in cash, high-value vouchers, Argentina fan jerseys, and other guaranteed rewards.
Mahmudul Hasan purchased a 652-litre refrigerator from Goribe Newaz Walton Plaza, Uttara, while Afroza Begum bought a 312-litre refrigerator from Dayarampur Walton Plaza, Natore.
Both customers received SMS notifications confirming their Tk10 lakh prizes after finishing digital registration.
At the Uttara ceremony, Muhammad Abdullah-Al-Mamun, Senior Executive Director of Walton Hi-Tech, credited domestic consumer confidence for Walton's rise as a leading technology company. He said it also helped Walton grow its exports to over 55 countries.
"As part of our responsibility to customers and society, Walton is offering substantial benefits through the Digital Campaign, including the opportunity to become millionaires," he said.
Afroza Begum expressed her surprise at receiving Tk10 lakh after purchasing a refrigerator from Walton.
"This is the happiest moment of my life. Walton's commitment to rewarding ordinary customers has further strengthened my trust in the brand," she said.
