Walton launches ACC brand computers in Bangladesh

ACC Computer Brand has started its journey in Bangladesh. The world-famous ACC brand is one of the examples of reliability and innovation in the combination of the latest technology and glorious European heritage.

Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited, the leading technology product manufacturer, marketer, and exporter in Bangladesh, has unveiled computer products under the ACC brand. From now on, in addition to the Walton brand, Walton Digi-Tech will also manufacture and market premium category laptops, desktops, monitors, and various computer products under the ACC brand.

The ACC Computer Brand was inaugurated at a grand event at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital on November 28 (Thursday). Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury was the chief guest at the event, while Secretary to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md Rezaul Maksud Zahedi was present as a special guest.

The event, presided over by Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited Chairman S M Rezaul Alam, was attended by among others MIST Commandant Major General Md. Nasim Parvez, Director General of ICT Department Muhammad Anwar Uddin, Founding Director of the Research & Innovation Centre for Science & Engineering (RISE) of BUET Dr. Muhammad Anisuzzaman Talukder, Uttara University Vice Chancellor Yeasmin Ara Lekha, Probashi Kallyan Bank Managing Director Chanu Gopal Ghosh, Walton Digi-Tech Additional Managing Director Liakat Ali, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. Deputy Managing Directors retired Major General Sajjad Hossain and Md—Rafiqul Islamand senior officials of various government and private organisations.

It is worth noting that ACC is a famous European brand. The company's journey began in Belluno, Italy, in 1968. In 2022, Walton acquired the rights of three European electronics brands with a more than half-a-century tradition, including ACC. Zanussi Elettromeccanica (ZEM) and Verdichter (VOE) are the other two brands. Beating several renowned global companies in international bidding, Walton acquired the rights of these famous European brands with fully automated inverter and fixed-speed compressor manufacturing plants, research and development, intellectual property (design and software licenses), trademarks in 57 countries from Italia Wanbao-ACC S.r.l. Walton has started marketing televisions, air conditioners and washing machines under the ACC brand. Now, the company is going to produce and market computer products under the ACC brand to customers. Walton will initially create four laptops, two desktop, and one monitor model for the ACC brand. ACC brand laptops and desktops use world-renowned chipset manufacturer Intel's 13th and 14th generation and AI Ultra chipset-powered Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited will gradually produce other IT products for ACC brand.
