University of Scholars hosts Career Fest 2026 in Dhaka
The University of Scholars hosted its largest career event to date, the NextJobz Presents University of Scholars Career Fest 2026, on Saturday, 24 January, 2026, at Banani Block B Park.
Organised jointly by the Scholar Career Center, Scholar Influencers Club, Scholar Business Club and the University of Scholars Alumni Association, the event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world by connecting students directly with employers and industry leaders.
The career fest featured 30 national and international organisations, including Ha-Meem Group, Dabur, United Group, Tally, Go Bangla and Steadfast, alongside media houses and corporate brands. More than 300 job vacancies were offered, with students participating in on-the-spot CV screening and job-matching sessions.
In addition to recruitment activities, the event placed strong emphasis on learning and career development. A panel discussion titled 'Industry Insights: Real Job. Real Business. Real Stories' was held at the University of Scholars campus, focusing on practical career guidance and professional growth.
The session was moderated by Nur a Alam Mishad, lecturer and BBA coordinator of the Department of Business at the University of Scholars. Speakers included Ahsanur Rahman, partner director at Google, Aleph Group Inc.; Tarif Mohammed Khan, head of communications at Dekko ISHO Venture Capital and national mentor and coach at Accelerating Bangladesh; Rizvan Hasan, country head of Reverse Resources Bangladesh; and Jubaer Alnazi, founder and chief executive officer of Axiler Ltd.
The panellists discussed the evolving global job market and highlighted the importance of inclusive and empowering opportunities, particularly for female students.
The event was supported by NextJobz as title sponsor and the Young Professionals Association of Bangladesh (YPAB) as strategic partner. Other partners included Kangaroo Global Bangladesh, B-Fresh Education Consultancy and Nescafé as refreshment partner.
Students and recruiters expressed satisfaction with the scale and organisation of the event. The Career Fest 2026 marked a milestone for the University of Scholars and reinforced its commitment to enhancing students' employability and professional development through industry engagement.
