Dutch-Bangla Bank reviews 2025 performance at managers’ conference
The Managers' Conference 2026 of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC was held in Dhaka on 24–25 January, 2026, to review the bank's overall performance for 2025 and outline its business plan and strategic priorities for 2026.
The conference was presided over by Abul Kashem Md Shirin, managing director and chief executive officer of Dutch-Bangla Bank. Branch managers from all 243 branches participated in the programme, alongside deputy managing directors, CXOs, divisional heads, cluster heads and senior executives from the bank's head office.
In his address, the managing director reviewed the bank's performance and strategies for achieving its business targets. He congratulated branch managers and their teams for recording an operating profit of Tk2,704 crore and meeting their respective targets in 2025. He also urged managers who fell short of their targets to make concerted efforts to achieve the goals set for 2026.
He emphasised the need to expand business by leveraging the bank's digital and alternative delivery channels, including its online banking platform Fast Tracks, customer relationship management systems, ATM network, mobile banking service Rocket, agent banking network, point-of-sale terminals and NexusPay.
He also directed branch managers to place greater emphasis on retail and SME banking, alongside corporate business, during the year ahead.
Highlighting the importance of customer service, he said delivering high-quality service requires sound business knowledge, a clear understanding of customer needs and empathy. He stressed that branch managers must ensure consistent and improved service standards across all customer touchpoints.
During the conference, managers shared their views on opportunities and challenges and expressed their commitment to achieving the bank's budgetary targets for 2026.
