Unimart launches annual pitha utshob across outlets
Embracing the essence of Bengali winter traditions, Unimart has launched its annual Pitha Utshob across all its outlets, bringing together seasonal flavours and the nostalgia of homemade delicacies.
The festival will continue throughout January.
This year's Pitha Utshob features nearly 70 varieties of traditional pithas, reflecting the diversity of Bengal's culinary heritage. Familiar favourites such as bhapa, chitoi, puli, patishapta, semai and rosh pitha are offered alongside lesser-known regional delicacies, including nakshi, golap, malpoa, pakon, shatiinmochor, jafrani malai roll and bibikhana. Savoury items, including chaler ruti served with hasher mangsho, are also part of the spread.
The festival runs from 1 to 31 January, and is open daily from 9:00am to 10:00pm at all Unimart outlets in Dhaka. The same arrangements are available at Unimart Sylhet.
Deeply rooted in Bengali culture, pitha symbolises togetherness, memory and seasonal celebration. Through the initiative, Unimart aims to offer urban consumers an opportunity to reconnect with traditional winter flavours and spend time with family and friends in a familiar setting.
