Asia Coatings strengthens supply chain in Bangladesh
Asia Coatings (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of JAT Holdings PLC, has entered into a strategic warehouse and logistics services partnership with K&A Logistics Ltd, reinforcing its operational capabilities in Bangladesh and supporting the next phase of its market growth.
The partnership brings together Asia Coatings' expanding manufacturing and distribution footprint with the integrated logistics expertise of K&A Logistics, a joint venture between Advantis Group and Karnaphuli Group.
Established in 2017, the collaboration combines more than six decades of regional experience with deep local market knowledge to deliver end-to-end third-party logistics solutions across warehousing, distribution, freight forwarding and project logistics.
The formal partnership ceremony was held at Asia Coatings' manufacturing facility in Bangladesh, with the participation of Asia Coatings (Pvt) Ltd Director and Country Head for Bangladesh Shamara Wanniarachchi, K&A Logistics Ltd Chief Executive Officer Dilanjan Perera, and members of the respective management teams.
As Asia Coatings continues to scale up its operations in Bangladesh, strengthening the systems that support market delivery has become increasingly important.
While the company has historically managed its logistics operations internally, this partnership introduces a more structured and technology-enabled framework designed to enhance efficiency, visibility and service reliability across the supply chain.
The collaboration is expected to improve inventory and stock management across the network, while supporting faster delivery timelines and better utilisation of warehouse and transport assets.
The integration of data-driven systems and professional logistics management will also strengthen process control across loading, dispatch and distribution functions, ensuring consistency in service delivery.
Commenting on the partnership, Shamara Wanniarachchi said, "Bangladesh continues to be a strategically important market for the wider JAT Group. As our operations expand, the strength and efficiency of our supply chain become central to how effectively we serve our customers."
"This partnership allows us to introduce greater structure, visibility and operational discipline into our logistics function, ensuring that our service delivery keeps pace with the scale of our business," she added.
K&A Logistics Chief Executive Officer Dilanjan Perera said, "We are pleased to partner with Asia Coatings at an important stage of its growth journey in Bangladesh."
"By leveraging our integrated logistics expertise and technology-driven approach, we look forward to enabling greater efficiency, visibility and responsiveness across the supply chain to support the company's continued growth in the market," he added.
K&A Logistics operates under Advantis Group, the transportation and logistics arm of Hayleys PLC, one of Sri Lanka's leading diversified conglomerates.
Through its joint venture with Karnaphuli Group, the platform combines regional connectivity with strong local execution.
For Asia Coatings, the onboarding of K&A Logistics represents a deliberate step towards building a more resilient and scalable operational backbone.
By strengthening its warehousing and logistics capabilities, the company is positioning itself to respond more effectively to market demand, support its expanding customer base and sustain long-term growth in the region.
Asia Coatings said the partnership reflects its continued focus on operational excellence, customer centricity and disciplined investment in the systems that enable consistent, high-quality service delivery.
