TEDxJKKNIU held for second year at Nazrul Museum
TEDxJKKNIU was organised for the second consecutive year at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) in Mymensingh.
The event was held at the Nazrul Museum, a venue closely associated with the life and memories of the national poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam, particularly his teenage years.
TEDxJKKNIU featured a diverse group of speakers from different professional fields, including Engineer Hasan Mahmud, deputy coordinator (SAARC Region) of the Global Youth Parliament; travel content creator R K Sohan; photographer and filmmaker Jubayer Talukder; actress Sadia Ayman; architect and environmental activist Iqbal Habib; cartoonist and comic book artist Sayed Rashad Imam Tanmoy; writer and financial analyst Mohaimin Patwary; film director and producer Mejbaur Rahman Suman; and film director Abitabh Reza. University faculty member and actor Manoj Kumar Pramanik was also present at the event.
More than 200 students participated in the programme, which was organised by a team of around 40 volunteers. The event provided students with the opportunity to interact directly with the speakers and gain insights into career planning, professional journeys, and real-life experiences.
Speaking at the event, Aktab Uddin Sarwar, lead licensee of TEDxJKKNIU, said organising the event for the second time was a matter of pride for the university community.
'Through this platform, students have been able to explore new perspectives and opportunities to shape their future careers. Today's successful event is the result of six to seven months of continuous effort,' he said.
University authorities said initiatives such as TEDxJKKNIU play an important role in developing students' mindset, leadership skills, and preparedness for future challenges.
