Summer Flow Fest draws hundreds for wellness, creativity and connection
Hundreds of people joined two days of fitness, mindfulness, dialogue and creative performances at The Flow Fest, which concluded its Summer Flow Fest at Gulshan Shooting Club in Dhaka on Saturday.
Powered by Prime Bank, the festival focused on five themes: movement, mindfulness, creativity, connection, and wisdom, according to a press release.
Dhaka Jungle transformed the indoor venue into a forest-inspired setting, and the Flow Market let visitors explore local wellness brands and connect with them.
The festival began on Friday morning with the Rave Run, a 7.5km run around Hatirjheel powered by Jeep.
The programme also featured sound healing, yoga sessions led by Shazzy Om and Mai, a session with Irons Fencing Club and discussions under The Flow Fest's "Shareapy" platform.
At the "Shareapy Men's Table", moderated by Nashid Ali, Panellist Rashed Ahmed discussed punctuality, failure and personal accountability.
"If you are not punctual in one place, you are not punctual anywhere," Rashed said, encouraging participants to learn from failure and communicate openly with those around them.
"Never close doors. Cry if you need to, and share," Nashid said at the end of the session.
The festival also hosted a discussion titled "Inclusive Wellness: Rohingya Response", moderated by Rohingya Refugee Response Sector Coordinator Ashik Kabir.
Representatives from UNHCR, ActionAid Bangladesh, AMAN, EBL, and the Rohingya community discussed restoring dignity and creating opportunities for refugees.
EBL Panellist Tanzeri Hoque highlighted the needs of women and children involved in the humanitarian response.
Evening activities included Havana Salsa, Project Dhk Creative Open Mic, and "Taboo: Poetry Slam" by Local Authors, offering platforms for dance, poetry, and other creative expression.
Prime Bank powered Summer Flow Fest, while Jeep supported the Rave Run. United Healthcare, Shwapno, and Savoy also supported the event.
